On the two-year anniversary of the industry launch of Tablet PCs in Canada, Toshiba of Canada Information Systems Group (Toshiba ISG) today launched the new Portégé™ M200 Tablet PC. The powered up and lightweight Portégé M200 Tablet PC is a versatile work tool for professionals, offering maximum mobility and flexibility.

With 47 per cent share* of the Tablet PC market in Canada, Toshiba’s newest Tablet PC boasts the latest wireless technology and brand name processors. Moving forward, Toshiba will be incorporating Tablet PC functionality and handwriting recognition into its Tecra™ and Portégé™ notebook computers series.

The new Portégé M200 Tablet PC features an integrated 802.11g wireless connectivity with Microsoft® Office OneNote™, Window’s® XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 and a Mobile IntelÒ PentiumÒ M Processor 745 at 1.8GHz.  This high performance work tool also comes equipped with 512 MB DDR memory, a large 12-inch SXGA+ Poly-Silicon display digitizer and barely tips the scales at a user friendly 4.4 pounds. 

The Portégé M200 Tablet PC retails for the suggested list price of $3099.
