Toshiba of Canada Information Systems Group (Toshiba ISG) today announced the launch of its new flat panel LCD PC monitors. The new LCD monitors represent Toshiba’s first entry into computer components in Canada and answers consumer demand in one of the fastest growing segments in the computer industry.

“According to a recent study, flat panel LCD monitors are expected to grow 40 per cent over the next year,” said Jason Laxamana, Product Manager, Toshiba ISG. “Toshiba is using its years of industry-leading experience in developing high quality, thin notebook computer monitors to design a line of space and energy saving LCD displays that will meet this growing demand.”

Toshiba’s LD17B101 17-inch Flat Panel Display and LD19B101 19-inch Flat Panel Display combine the perfect mix of functionality and style. The slim, light-weight, space-saving displays feature maximum ergonomic adjustability, extra wide 170-degree viewing angles, native 1280×1024 resolution, 15-pin D-sub analog and DVI digital interfaces and built-in speakers to eliminate the need for separate desktop speakers. The new Toshiba LCD monitors also feature an energy-saving design that consumes less than half the power of traditional CRTs.
