The market is called Enterprise Content Management (ECM). If you do not know, you can take the Wiki definition as a starting point…“It is the strategies, methods, and tools used to capture, manage, store, preserve, and deliver content and documents related to organizational processes. ECM covers the management of information within the entire scope of an enterprise whether that information is in the form of a paper document, an electronic file, a database print stream, or even an email”.

Today, the term ECM is morphing in favor of a more encompassing term, Intelligent Information Management (IIM). IIM is defined as the strategies, methods, and tools used to create, capture, automate, deliver, secure, and analyze content and documents related to organizational processes. IIM refers to the management of content and data, not just content itself.

The latest definition encompasses areas that have traditionally been addressed by records management and by document management systems. It also implies the conversion of data between various digital and traditional forms, including paper and microfilm.

Call it what you will, but it is an integral part of the global digital transformation of businesses, institutions and governments. It’s a huge market and with the added compliance and security issues, it is one of the most sustainable and predictable opportunities in the IT Channel.

There are many big vendors in the ECM space, but a less known player called Digitech Systems has been a true pioneer and one of the big success stories since 1997. The company has a proven and affordable ECM solution with numerous high-profile clients. It provides businesses with the ability to capture, manage, store and securely access any information – from paper documents and electronic files to print streams, email and even forms – anytime, anywhere! They offer an on-premise or cloud solution.

Scott Matthews founded Digitech Systems to build software that offers affordable Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems to organizations of any size. Today, his mission continues to bring the benefits of ECM to small, medium and large organizations to help them create a competitive advantage and achieve greater success.

The Digitech Systems ECM product suite enables businesses to more effectively manage and extract information of any kind—from simple paper documents to complex forms—either on-premise or in a cloud environment. Plus they give you the ability to help your customers automate virtually any task with Intelligent Automation. Help your customers digitize their information, route information between applications, and automate business tasks.

It’s obvious why this matters to so many organizations and with an expected 67 Billion Dollar market by 2022, the business opportunity is also clear.

Why this matters to the IT Channel?

It’s an important gateway to generating significant recurring revenue and profits by solving big digital transformation challenges for customers!

It’s not easy pulling together all of the pieces of an ECM solution to get the job done right. It is also not easy to deploy or manage such a solution without the deep experience and support of a knowledgeable team and proven technologies. The investment is significant and making mistakes can be catastrophic.

Since Digitech has done all of the hard work and have loads of success cases to prove its leadership role in the market, maybe a partnership with them is the way forward. They are looking for a few good partners to join them in expanding ECM into other markets. They offer a lucrative and channel friendly partnerships to work with VARs, MSPs or ITSPs.
