Sierra Wireless announced that a Fujitsu notebook computer to be AirCard Enabled with
Sierra Wireless embedded modules is now certified and available for use on the
NTT DoCoMo network in Japan. With the integrated Sierra Wireless MC8780
embedded module, the new FMV-BIBLO LOOX T70XNX notebook offers the latest in
mobile broadband network technology to keep customers connected to the
information they need from wherever their travels take them.

This is the first AirCard Enabled notebook computer to be offered in
Japan, and its availability coincides with the commercial launch of NTT
DoCoMo’s new HSDPA “Flat-Rate Data Plan HIGH-SPEED”, which allows customers to
purchase data service at a single monthly rate

The Sierra Wireless MC8780 embedded module offers tri-band UMTS/HSPA and
quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE network access to enable roaming on mobile broadband
networks worldwide. Operating on the NTT DoCoMo HSDPA network, Fujitsu
notebooks with the integrated MC8780 embedded module are capable of peak
download speeds up to 3.6 Mbps (Megabits per second) and upload speeds up to
384 kbps.

terminals, and other devices requiring high-speed wireless data connectivity,
Sierra Wireless PCI Express Mini Card embedded modules for HSPA networks are
fully shielded and offer an operating temperature range of -30 to +60 degrees
Celsius to suit all applications. The MC8780 also offers Receive Diversity.

comprehensive WHQL-certified USB software driver architecture that provides
superior power management, a dedicated diagnostic channel and the ability to
