Now, consumers who want the benefits of a community-based, local auto insurance company, can also enjoy online quoting.

OMIA, the trade association for more than 40 mutual insurance companies across Ontario, and Kanetix SeaS have partnered to deliver leading-edge auto quoting solutions for Ontario consumers.   OMIA manages their member companies' overarching brand, Ontario Mutuals.

In creating an on-line quoting solution for auto insurance shoppers, the goal was to make getting a quote from a local mutual as easy as possible and then moving interested buyers onto our agents and brokers for the expertise required to get the right policy.

It's a fast, convenient way for consumers to independently obtain mutual auto insurance quotes on their own schedule from a smartphone, tablet and/or desktop.

Ontario shoppers simply access www.ontariomutuals.com and click "Get a Quote" or visit any one of the 17 participating Mutuals' websites directly. The move to on-line quoting was spearheaded by 17 Mutuals that decided to get together and create an on-line quoting capability to appeal to today's more Internet-oriented consumer.

"Ontario Mutuals is thrilled to make the insurance process easier and more convenient for our customers," said Sharon Turnbull, Assistant Vice President Business Development.

"People lead busy lives, and they want to secure solid insurance coverage in a way that works for them."

"Through the launch of this solution, Ontario Mutuals is happy to be saving consumers time and effort, while providing our renowned service through our participating member companies."

This partnership leverages Kanetix SaaS' hands-on knowledge of how to convert shoppers to buyers, with Ontario Mutuals' generations of experience in insurance.

"We're very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Ontario Mutuals to provide their Member companies with a branded solution to bolster their online presence and provide their clients with a strong quoting experience," said Kathy Martin, Vice President, Kanetix SaaS.

"This project and partnership reaffirms our belief that Ontario consumers expect a quick, intuitive, quoting solution optimized for desktop and smartphones."
