"We understand how important it is to quickly save or copy all the data in your phone, and are pleased to provide our customers and subscribers of other operators such an opportunity," said Timur Alyautdinov , director of development of branded retail network and mobile equipment for VimpelCom.

Mikhail Slobodin, CEO of Vimpelcom Russia, also commented on the new Beeline service in his personal blog:

"We all remember how we suffered with the transfer of information from one phone to another. Now, we can offer data transfer through a very convenient device for transferring and backing up all the most important data stored on your phone…from a flash card, phone-to- phone, SIM card to SIM card, or SIM card to phone. There are many variations. It's not a dream – it's just convenient…and of course for you, our customers."

For Beeline subscribers the service was free during the initial launch, after which a  service charge  is now  rendered.
