To take advantage of the Snowbird Plan, travelers simply purchase the Roam SIM Card, which is compatible with any unlocked GSM phone, smartphone or tablet sold in Canada. When users activate the SIM card online, they can schedule a date to begin their wireless service. At the end of the plan, when users return to Canada, the SIM card goes into a suspended state and will not expire until 365 days after the last day of the plan.
