NVIDIA and Asus Partner to Deliver New Media-Rich GeForce Go 7300-Based Notebook PCs

NVIDIA Corporation, the worldwide leader in programmable graphics processing technologies, and ASUS, a leading provider of high-performance notebooks, unveiled the latest in ASUS’ award-winning A6 Notebook Series — the A6Vm and A6Km. The two all new notebooks are the world’s first launched designs to incorporate the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 mobile graphics processing unit (GPU).

“The ASUS A6Vm and A6Km models were meticulously designed to raise the bar for multimedia capabilities in mainstream notebooks,” said Tony Chen, General Manager of ASUS Notebook Business. “The GeForce Go 7300’s powerful 3D and video capabilities enabled us to achieve exactly that.”

Fully utilizing the awesome graphics and video processing quality of the new GeForce Go 7300 mobile GPU, the new multimedia notebooks feature a gorgeous 15.4-inch wide-screen panel, a built-in 1.3 megapixel camera, full wired and wireless connectivity (including Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi technologies), and a powerful multimedia system configuration, including the latest Intel Pentium M and AMD Turion 64 processors.

“As consumers become more savvy and demanding in their requirements for good graphics and video on their PCs, the shortcomings of a lot of notebooks on the market become apparent,” said Rob Csongor, general manager of notebook GPUs at NVIDIA. “By utilizing the GeForce Go 7300 in these new notebooks, ASUS is delivering unparalleled multimedia capabilities, in a no-compromise portable notebook.”

Based on NVIDIA’s latest, award-winning GeForce 7-series architecture, the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 GPU features a completely redesigned architecture to deliver a number of groundbreaking achievements, including:

    • NVIDIA(R) CineFX 4.0 engine: A brand new programmable superscalar
shader architecture, delivering twice the graphics horsepower of the
      previous generation notebook GPUs.
    • Support for the latest games and applications with Microsoft
DirectX 9.0 Shader Model 3.0 and Film Quality HDR — the must-have
feature for developers delivering more realism to real-time gaming.
    • NVIDIA PureVideo technology, allowing users to experience home
theater quality video on the notebook PC.
    • NVIDIA TurboCache technology, combining the capacity and
bandwidth of dedicated video memory with dynamically allocated system
      memory to turbo-charge graphics performance.
    • NVIDIA PowerMizer advanced power management technology, to
maximize battery life and reduce system thermals while utilizing the
same power budget as previous generation mobile GPUs.
