Health software firm MedcomSoft announces licence deal; stock jumps over 11%

    Stock in MedcomSoft Inc. jumped more than 11 per cent after the health software company said it had signed its first multiple licences deal.

    MedcomSoft will supply 13 of its Record licences to Medpoint Family Care Centre, a member clinic of the Independent Physicians Network.

    Investors sent MedcomSoft shares (TSX:MSF – news) soaring by 4.5 cents to 43.5 cents – a 11.54 per cent jump.

    “The agreement by Medpoint Family Care Centre to select MedcomSoft Record is an important step in the company’s and CTM’s on-going relationship with members of IPN, as this sale is the first sale outside of the previously announced pilot project with IPN,” MedcomSoft said in a statement.

    The Independent Physicians Network is one of the largest managed medical provider networks in the U.S. with over 1,000 member physicians.

    MedcomSoft Inc. designs, develops and markets databases to manage medical records.
